Ford Issues New Safety Recall Affecting Bronco SUVs
Ford Motor Company has announced a recall involving more than 163,000 model-year 2021–2023 Ford Bronco SUVs after identifying a potential front seat safety defect. The problem centers on a loose or dislodged height-adjust pivot bolt in the front seat frame, increasing the risk of injury.
What Ford Will Do
As a remedy, dealers will replace the seat pivot links and bolts free of charge. Owners can contact Ford’s customer service line and reference recall number 25SB5 for assistance or NHTSA Recall 25V721.
Background: Ford’s Broader Recall Activity
This announcement follows another recent Ford recall affecting more than 174,800 vehicles — including F-150, Expedition, Super Duty, and Lincoln Navigator SUVs — for a moonroof wind deflector defect that could detach and create a road hazard.
Conclusion
Recalls can be an indication that an underlying issue exists with the vehicle and the manufacturer has knowledge of that defect. Under the California Lemon Law, if the manufacturer cannot repair your vehicle under warranty after repeated attempts, you may be entitled to compensation.
