Chrysler (FCA US) has issued recall 35D, affecting more than 65,300 Ram trucks due to a defect involving the instrument panel display system. The recall impacts several heavy‑duty Ram truck models from recent model years. The FCA US Report can be referenced here. NHTSA Recall 26V225 can be referenced here.

According to the recall, a software error may cause the instrument panel display to fail, preventing drivers from seeing critical information such as speed, gear selection, and warning indicators. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.

Affected Vehicles

The recall includes certain:

  • 2025–2026 Ram 2500
  • 2025–2026 Ram 3500

Manufacturer’s Remedy

Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established communication methods. This recall is estimated to launch in 2nd Quarter of 2026.

Why This Recall Matters

Recalls can be an indication that an underlying issue exists with the vehicle and the manufacturer has knowledge of that defect.  Under the California Lemon Law, if the manufacturer cannot repair your vehicle under warranty after repeated attempts, you may be entitled to compensation. You can read MMO Law’s post pertaining to automotive recalls by clicking here.
